Is The Custom Printing Included In Your Pricing?

Yes, Any message (text) you wish printed is included in our pricing. There is no set-up fee for text. The only time there is a set-up fee is if you wish to have a logo/graphic printed. There is a one time set-up fee of $15 per logo/graphic .

How Many Words Or Lines May I Have Printed?

United Reminders has no limits on the number of words or lines that you may have on the back of your postcard. However, the Postal Service does place constraints on where your information may be printed on the card. We will be happy to format your information and will work with you to get a layout that is compliant with the Postal Service regulations.

Do You Mail Out The Postcards For Us?

No, we do not provide any mailing services. We will print your postcards and return them to you for addressing and postage. If you are working with a mailing house that is doing the addressing and postage for you we can ship your cards directly to them if you wish. Additionally, we are happy to work with your mailing company to determine their requirements and ensure that our layout leaves the proper spacing and positioning for them to address and put the postage on your cards.

Is Postage Included in Your Price?

No, postage is not included. You will have to put a $.26 stamp on each postcard. The Post Office offers self-adhesive stamps that make the job fairly easy. If you are going to be mailing a large quantity of cards you may wish to arrange for a permit from your local Post Office. They can provide you (for a fee) with a permit number and we can pre-print that indicia (permit information block) on the cards. This will save you from physically putting stamps on the cards. You will still have to pay for the postage with the Post Office when you mail the cards. Unfortunately, we have no way to provide pre-paid postage for you.

How Much Does It Cost To Mail My Postcards?

The Postal Service first class postcard rate is $.26.  Folding Postcards cost the standard letter rate of $.41.   You may also want to look into Postal Service bulk rates.

Can I Have A Custom Picture Printed On The Front (Picture Side) Of The Card?

No, we do not print custom pictures. We pre-print our picture postcards in very high quantities (50,000 - 100,000 at a time) which gives us a lower per-card price. We can then pass these low per-card prices on to you in small quantites (as few as 250 per order). If you were to have custom full-color picture postcards printed in small quantities you would find that the price-per-card is considerably higher than the prices we can offer you using our pre-printed choices.

Can I Have More Than One Picture Per Order?

Yes, You may select as many pictures from our collection as you wish at no additional cost.

Why Don't You Have Pictures That Are Specific To My Industry?

Our pictures are designed to grab your customers' attention. If the picture that you send is too specific to your industry (e.g., a service truck or sprinkler system), your potential customer may recognize immediately that it is advertising and throw it away. Our pictures entice your customer to turn the card over and read your custom message. While our pictures are not specific to an industry, our collection includes many pictures that can tie in nicely with your message (See our Sample Messages page for ideas).

An added bonus to you is that people like to post our attractive pictures on the refrigerator or bulletin board...extending the life of your reminder!

Can I Change The Words On The Front Of The Card?

No. Because we pre-print our picture postcards in very high quantities we cannot change the words on the front (picture side) of the card. The majority of our cards use the phrase "Just A Reminder" because it is broadly applicable to any mailing. We know that "Just A Reminder" works on a first mailing as well as on a recall card because we advertise successfully on our own reminders (It got your attention!) Check our Special reminders for cards with other phrases on the front.

Can I Have More Than One Printed Message Per Order?

No. Our pricing is based on one custom printed message per priced order. You can not "mix and match" messages and qualify for the higher quantity price breaks. This is because we have to set up and run a seperate print job for each different message. This is true even if only one word is changed or omitted.

Do I Have To Use The Sample Message That You Have Provided?

No, our sample messages are provided to give you ideas. You can use our messages, make changes to them or write your own message entirely.

Can I Get Color Printing On The Message Side Of The Card?

United Reminders only prints messages in black and white.

Will You Print My Logo?

Yes. We can print your logo or other line drawing in black and white along with your message. The cost for Logo Set-Up is $15 and is a One-Time Charge for each image. We will need a good quality copy of the image. Please mail us an original (faxed copies do not produce a high quality reproduction when scanned) or E-mail us a high-resolution (300 dpi) digital file. We will retain your images in our database and they can be re-used on any message at no additional charge.

Can I Have Address Lines Pre-printed?

Yes. If you are planning to hand-address your postcards, we recommend having address lines pre-printed. If your are planning to use mailing labels, let us know the label size so that we can format your message to provide enough space for them.

Why Is There A Space At The Bottom Of The Card?

The space on the bottom of the sample cards is the Postal Service's "Bar Code Clear Zone." If you plan to mail your postcards, you must reserve this space. Otherwise, the Postal Service will mark over your message with a bar code.

Are Custom Printed Reminders or Appointment Cards Returnable?

No, Because the cards are custom printed to your specifications they can not be returned.

Can I See What My Cards Will Look Like Before They Are Printed?

Yes. We are happy to provide a proof prior to printing at your request. We can FAX, mail or e-mail you a proof.

What Happens If United Reminders Makes A Mistake In Printing My Postcards?

If United Reminders misprints your postcards (If its our mistake) - either by printing the wrong message or printing on the wrong cards - we will reprint your cards free of charge.

However, if we print what we presented to you on your proof and you accept and sign the proof, you are responsible for the cards. United Reminders WILL NOT reprint postcards (free of charge) if we correctly printed what was approved on your proof OR if we followed your directions and the mistake was in what you directed us to print.

How Long Will It Take For Me To Get My Cards?

We will print and ship your order within five (5) business days of receiving your complete information. Shipping varies from one to five business days depending on your location and the shipping method that you choose. Maximum turn-around (printing + shipping) time is ten (10) business days - usually two calendar weeks.

Can I Get My Cards Any Faster?

Yes. We can speed up the turn-around time in two ways. We offer a "Rush Order" service. With Rush Order service we will print and ship your cards in one business day (within 24 hours except on a Friday). Rush Order service charge is 15% of the cost of the cards (minimum $25). Rush Order service may not be available during high demand times (United Reminders reserves the right to decline Rush Orders).

In addition, we can arrange for faster UPS shipping service including Next-Day Air, 2nd Day Air, Or 3-Day Select. Call us for price quotes on the various UPS shipping options. We do require credit card payment in advance on Rush orders and/or orders with Expedited Shipping.

How Do I Know If My Mailing Campaign Was Successful?

It is important to calculate the total cost of your mailing so that, as you track responses, you will know when the mailing has paid for itself and when it starts becoming profitable for you.
For example:
If you mail 1,000 pieces - your costs are:
$99 for the cards   $260 for the postage   $100 for the mailing list
Total Cost of Mailing = $459
If your average job is about $150, for example, then you only need 3 responses to break even (459 / 150 = 3). Once you get your fourth order you have more than paid for the cost of the mailing and are already into profitability. In this example, you only need a response of 3 orders or .3 % return to break even.
People often expect a larger response and don’t realize (until they do the math) that you often make a profit even with a seemingly low response rate. Usually, (depending on the average price of the service you are selling) you will break even with less than 1% response.
Be sure to develop a system for tracking responses to your mailing. It’s a good idea to say “Mention this postcard” on your mailing, put a code or “offer” on the card, or just ask people how they heard about you when they call so that you can track the response you get to your mailings.
